Mark Frank was born in Santa Monica California. He grew up in the Los Angeles area where he attended public school in Culver City and Palos Verdes Estates. As a child he learned music, with an emphasis in violin performance and played in classical music concerts throughout Los Angeles. In 1970, Mr. Frank began his college studies in music performance, receiving a Bachelors of Music degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and a Masters of Music Degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
In 1978, Mr. Frank accepted a position teaching violin at the Emil Friedman school in Caracas Venezuela, and taught violin performance to semi-professional students in the Simon Bulivar Orchestra. For two years, he performing with the professional opera orchestra, Municipal Symphonic Orchestra of Caracas, Venezuela. In 1981, he moved to San Diego, California and set up the San Diego School of Music. In 1986, Mr. Frank relocated to Queens, New York, and taught music in the NYC public school system. In 1985.
In 1986, Mr. Frank retrained in the blossoming professional field, computer programming. Afterwards, he worked on Wall Street for Merryl Lynch and one of its subsidiaries for over fourteen years. In 1997, Mr. Frank made another career change so he could work in the field he loved most of all, marriage and psychotherapy. In the year 2000 he completed a Masters of Social Work from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York. Starting in 2001, he worked in a mental health clinic in New York, as a psychotherapist. Since 2001, he has specialized in Marriage and Couples Therapy. For seven years, Mr. Frank also worked for the NYC department of education as a school social worker, making a difference in children’s lives, and also in psychiatrics and forensic psychology rehabilitating criminals.
In 1980, Mr. Frank found he has the ability to communicate with those who passed away. He did not write his experiences down until 2012 when he was received a visitation by the spirit of renowned diarist, Anna Frank, through automatic writing. During that year, Mr. Frank wrote down twenty-one letters and then a twenty-second letter, written by her. During 2013, Anna Frank added in her explanations on her letters and it became a book. In 2020, this work was work was published and it is available on Amazon. It is named Get to Know G-d: the name was chosen by Anna Frank in in a letter she wrote written in 2012.
Mr. Frank became Torah Observant in 1981. In 1986 he began focusing on prayer recitation, in order to find a way to pray with passion, fervor, and depth on a daily basis. Mr. Frank has taught prayer to others over the years and is in the process of writing “how to” book on praying with fervor.
Mr. Frank has been happily married since 1981. The Franks have three children and three grand-children. In 2017, they moved to Israel and live ancient city of Tzfat, the city of the Kabballah.
